Reformed Theological Seminary on iTunes U

A friend recently told me about Reformed Theology Seminary on iTunes.  Now we can download FREE course lectures from RTS Virtual classes.  This is sooo great!  Just visit http://itunes.rts.edu to access and download courses onto your computer (or MP3 player) and keep up with the latest events.  I’ve always wanted to be able to sit in seminary classes out of curiosity.  This “RTS on iTunes U” thing allows me to get a taste of that and hear teachings by seminary professors from my iPod.  Seminary courses at the tip of my fingers, woohoo!

To  give a glimpse of some of the subjects available, so far I’ve downloaded J.I. Packer’s History and Theology of the Puritans, John Frame’s series on Christian Apologetics and History of Philosophy and Christian Thought, Richard Pratt’s Old Testament series, Frank A. James III’s series of the History of Christianity, and much more.

Happy downloading and listening… :)

Thanks so much for the link! It looks like it’s going to be very helpful and enjoyable.

The philosophy and ethics courses are top notch. Anything by Doug Kelly (systematics) is worth getting. He burns with spiritual fervor. He has the ultimate southern accent.

You also need to download Doug Kelly’s (available at the same site) message, “Christ the Mediator according to the Westminster Confession.” I learned more about Christology in that 90 minutes than I did from an entire seminary course.

Hi Chris, thanks for your comment. :) Glad to hear from you. Hope all has been well on your side. I’m happy to hear the link is helpful for you also. Yeah, I’m excited myself about learning from the courses. Hope you have a good one. :)

Hi Jacob, thanks so much! :) At your recommendation I finished downloading all of Doug Kelly’s systematic theology series and the “Christ the Mediator” message. I’m excited. They seem great… Woo hoo! :)

I just downloaded all of their mp3s from iTunes after hearing about it from a friend at church. I’m especially looking forward to John Frame’s lectures on Apologetics.

Those Frame lectures on apologetics are what his apologetics course is based on. i have gone through them 3 times. very good stuff.

Hi Glenn, thanks for leaving your comment. Nice to read your note. Yes, I’m also especially interested in John Frame’s lectures on apologetics. I’m just really glad that they’re making it available for me to listen. Thanks again for stopping by my blog! :)

Hi Jeremy, thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I’m glad to hear that you find the link to RTS on iTunes U helpful. It’s my pleasure to be able to share it with others.

I visited your blog as well. I tried to leave a comment into your latest post, but for some reason it didn’t work as it says there’s a “small system error.” Well, just wanted to say that I enjoy reading your blog posts. And I like the quote you cited by J.I. Packer on feminists. :) It’s great. Please keep up your edifying blog. I look forward to visit back again.

    Thanks Jessica, I appreciate that.

Not sure what’s wrong with the comments there, hopefully it’s just a temporary glitch.

Frame is excellent. I’m currently reading two of his books. The Doctrine of the Knowledge of God and Salvation belongs to the Lord - An Intro to Systematic Theology.

Here is another link to some well produced videos by John and others at RTS Orlando.

I’m going to have to tell my hubby about this. He is enrolled at RTS, but had to take a break from seminary studies to finish his teaching credentials. Thanks for sharing!
