My Blog Address
Hello all! I’ve been making several changes recently on my blog, adding a few features and plugins into it. I’m quite happy with the new things that these little new additions enable me to do here. However, there’s a minor down side… that is, if you’re still viewing my blog under the old address of http://jessica.solideogloria.com, then certain images won’t show up. If you’re one of these visitors, I just wanted to encourage you to update my blog’s address in your bookmark (or your site link, blog reader, etc.) to the permanent address of http://pilgrimsprogress.net.
I suppose I may be able to fix the problem by web forwarding, but since I’ll likely expire the old web address in the near future anyway, I thought it best if my fellow visitors just update it to the new address. Besides, pilgrimsprogress.net is one cool domain name and much better than the old one, don’t you think? ;) Well, if nothing else, it’s definitely much easier to remember. ![]()

I was just doing a search on google for some info on Charles Spurgeon and your blog turned up in the first page of results, congrats on getting probably the greatest blog domain I’ve ever seen.

Hi Jessie,
I must say I like this new appearance more. It somehow fits my eyes better. But I truly miss the quote section deeply, hiks… However, since you’ve given me the links, it should be fine.
Go Jessie with the new face! I like your writing on godly man, I’ve been paying attention to that topic as well as godly woman’s ones =)

Hi Ian,
Glad to know you visited! Thanks so much for leaving a comment and for the kind words on my domain name.
I think you have a great domain name also!

Hi Grace,
Thanks for the feedback! I wasn’t finished updating the menu items when you commented, but now the quotes are back in here. I hope you like it. I’m going to change the banner image up there also with my previous banner (the one with the pathway & girl) when I find time. So you think I should keep this new layout, yah? You’re welcome to share any other feedback or suggestions, if any.
How is your new year celebration coming along?
Happy New Year to you! Hope you’re having a great time filled with joy and love with family and friends.

Hello Jessica,
I like the colors. I am using the same theme as you but when I upgraded the theme didn’t like the new upgrade of WordPress.
Oh Well

Jess, avatar kamu di bagian komentar imut sekali
! Soal lay out aku suka karena terkesan klasik, strong, seperti Reformed tradition & theology. Warnanya memberi kesan teduh, kecuali yang pinkish. Ada yang terasa kurang fit, but it’s my personal comment lho, belum tentu begitu di mata orang lain
Sorry aku belum bisa kasih saran warna apa yang might look better.
New Year was meaningful, Christmas was, too. That’s the only word which can describe what it was for me
Hope that yours was, too.
BTW, aku join Puritan Board dan masih navigating dulu. I saw your profile and your banner looks nice! Aku jadi tergelitik untuk ganti tampilan blog, will learn a lot from you

Thanks for all the feedback!
Isn’t my new smiley gravatar cute?
It desperately wants to wear the pretty lil’ pink bow, though it only has one strand of hair on its head.
Now, don’t anyone dare pull its lovely hair!

Comparing the previous banner (the hand of God giving life to Adam) to this one, I like this one better from a stylistic pov. The darker greens and browns work well with the grey/blue color scheme.
Besides that, I always liked the woman in the walkway anyway!

The woman in the walkway is definitely better. We know what women look like. But we don’t know what God looks like, or His hand.

Hi Michael and Josh, thanks so much for the feedback on my banner!
Appreciate it… I’m so glad you like my current banner image!
I do like the current banner more than the previous one also–both for the colors and (due to my own personal conscience) for the same reason Josh mentioned. Believe it or not, at first I had no idea that the previous banner was supposed to depict creation (that’s why I changed it). Yikes, sadly, I’m woefully ignorant when it comes to old paintings.
I believe I first saw the picture in Phil Johnson’s website a long time ago.
Anyway, thanks again for sharing your opinions!

One of my favorite features of your blog is the abbreviation “A.D.” after the date
It makes every post seem like such a momentous historical event!
Hope you’re doing well,

Although, shouldn’t the “A.D.” come before the year: January 26, A.D. 2008 (January 26, In the Year of our Lord 2008)?

Hehehe, funny.
Yep, I was trying to be a little humorous by making things look dramatic … you know, my life events being etched into the pages of history and all, ha ha.
I’m glad you like it.
I am, thank you. This winter weather is too cold for me, but I’m faring well buried under layers and thick jacket, hehe. I hope that things are going good for you as well.
And oh, have a wonderful day of worship on the Lord’s Day tomorrow!

That’s an interesting question. I’ve heard it can go either way, but not sure. I guess for visual reasons, I decided to style it the way I did.
