Which Princess Bride Character are You?
“The Princess Bride” is one of my favorite movies. A movie filled with adventures, humor, wits, romance, action, and the charms of fairy-tales all in one! I was hoping to be Princess Buttercup when I took the online quiz “Which Princess Bride Character are You?” And, it turns out I did! To quote the short, plump Vizzini in the movie: “Inconceivable!!!”

Okay, that’s funny. I’m Valerie. Didn’t think that would happen! That is truly inconceivable.

You’re obviously not like Valerie (the witch’s wife in the movie). Inconceivable!!
The quiz must be defective! Or inaccurate. Sigh, so much for the accuracy of my own quiz result.
(Speaking of which, I’d be interested in hearing others’ quiz result if you take it, just for fun.)

I was kinda trying to gear towards Inigo or Wesley, although I would probably have settled for Vizzini (sp?)

I was heckling Rev. Keister on the PB about him being Valerie. Unfortunately, I called him Vanessa instead of Valerie!

Hi Princess! I tried only once this time (unlike LOTR) and I am Buttercup. I actually like Westley character. I have never seen the movie yet and I learnt about this from wikipedia
Oya, you asked me about Joni Eareckson Tada books. I have Heaven: Your Real Home and The God I Love. I just finished writing a bit kind of review for TGIL in my blog. Aku ingin belajar buat review untuk buku2 yang aku tahu di Amazon

Hi Grace,
Looks like we’re both Buttercup. Woohoo
About tips on how to present book review, I’m actually not qualified to best answer this question. I’ve hardly written many reviews. But so nice of you to ask me
If anyone else has suggestions, please feel free to chime in and offer your suggestions here.
Mmm, but I’d like to at least try to answer based on what I’ve found to be helpful in reviews I’ve read on amazon.com. The ones I’ve usually found personally helpful to me are usually those that summarize how the book is applicable to their life or how it has impacted their life. I guess this is because I’m always looking for books that can help me in my practical everyday life. I also find it helpful when someone briefly mentions the main topics/subjects covered throughout book (sometimes maybe it’s as simple as listing chapter titles), so I could get an outline of the logical flow on the author’s ideas. It helps to know the route or how the author is approaching the subject. Also, it may be helpful to note any weakness (e.g. your disagreements or things that can be expanded) found in the book. If the book has been published under multiple different editions or publications, I think it’s helpful to note the particular one you’ve read or any differences between them.
Okay, this is my humble attempt at answering your questions.
I hope it helps. Having read some of your writings, I just know that you’ll do fine and your reviews will be very helpful. You’re a creative writer. Please let me know when you do post your reviews on amazon, okay? I’d love to see them!

HI Jess & Grace,
I’ve always enjoyed Jessica’s blog which has a lot of substance. Who can teach me to create such an effective website?
Reading books in my passion, but I have never written any review on Amazon or elsewhere. Jessica’s tips sound very sensible and helpful.
In recommending certain books to my friends, I usually would summarize my impression of the book, so I just talk from memory. That is not comprehensive, but may point to the main points of the content.
Grace, where could I find your writings? I’d love to read them too.
Thanks!
Blessings,
Alf

Yellow Jessie,
Thanks for the tips and nice encouragement! That story on Joni is not meant to be a book review (LOL), but I did want to try to write a review on it, hope I can do it
And thanks for leaving a thoughtful comment on it. Reading that Joni’s book was like reading my own Pilgrim Progress and she spoke volume of what I thought about who God is. Wow, you read all the way that long post!
Hi Alf,
Thank you for the sharing :)! Yes, I agree the tips is very sensible and helpful
And let me add, thoughtful tips!
About my writings they are mostly in Indonesian, my first language. So, unless someone understands Indonesian, it will mean nothing
I’m still struggling to write in English, that’s why I want to practice through doing this book review at Amazon. Thanks for the comment, it is encouraging!

Hi Grace,
Walaupun sudah lama saya meninggal Indonesia dan belum pernah berpulang, bahasa Indonesia ku masih lancar.
Your English is fine - there is no sign of “struggle” at all.
Send me the link where I can read your writing, please.
Thanks!
Regards,
Alf
